Photo from Wednesday's walk
Apr. 1st, 2011 04:06 pmSo, I was walking Wednesday morning down a moderately busy street (one that's mostly residential, but fairly wide and a two-way between two very busy streets). I must have walked down it dozens of times, and driven it hundreds, but I caught something out the corner of my eye I'd somehow never noticed before:

( More detailed image behind the cut )
It's on the sort of bland street where a little effort at beauty goes a long way. It may say something about the general visual tone of the neighborhood that I entirely failed to parse that it was backed by that emblem of functional drabness, a chain-link fence, until I loooked at the picture when I got home.
I'm just glad someone decided to bring a little bit of surprising beauty into their neighbors' lives.
