Recognition - or the lack thereof

Three times in the past week I've had friends who haven't seen me in a while fail to recognize me at first. The best was today, when 76trombones said "Wow. You look very different from the side than you used to." She went on to explain that she had been thinking There's a strange guy parking a car in back. Now that same strange guy is at the door. Oh, wait.....

This pleases me greatly.

No. But I've lost close to 8 stone, which is a lot harder to miss.
