One potential downside

... to my new job is that by far my most convenient commute will be to take one of the two MBTA routes that pass within a few blocks of both my house and the office. At this moment I am enduring the all too typical experience of sharing the bus with some asshole barking into his cellphone like a junkyard dog. (At least, when not laughing into it like a hyena.)

I may need to take a meditation break on my walk from the bus stop some mornings, to be sure of not arriving at work in the mood to strangle someone :^). Though I suppose it's really not as bad as driving into Cambridge used to be - no amount of obnoxious noise is going to actually kill me, after all....
