beware cheap mulch

I am not a gardener, but thought I'd pass this along for any of my readers who may be. A friend writes:

Be wary of buying inexpensive mulch this gardening season, as much of it comes from trees downed by Katrina. That mulch runs a serious possibility of being infested with Formosan termites. See the website of the Louisiana State University's agricultural center for more details.
