A neighbor with a snowblower helpfully went down the block day before yesterday, after the main snowfall. So instead of a few inches of crusty, crunchy snow bricks on which a person might be able to keep their footing, the sidewalk out front is more like a rough-hewn luge run. Even in my yaktrax the footing is iffy.
So where do I fall down? In the garage, looking to see if we have an ice chisel, of course. Where else? (The silver lining is I'm not bleeding; the first time in years I've fallen to my knees without doing so, on account of the damned psoriasis making my skin so thin there. On balance, I'm calling this a win.)
