Walkin'

I just walked a mile, nonstop, at a brisk pace, with no pain! I'm on an endorphin buzz, and find myself (no doubt overdoing it) wanting to compare how I feel right now to how I felt when I got to the top of a mountain in Vermont eleven years ago.

The only hint of pain I felt was a fleeting sense of tenderness a few times as my left heel struck — more like a memory of pain than the real thing. If I weren't hyperaware of that part of my body, I doubt very much I'd have noticed it. I think (touch wood) I can now call this over and get serious about getting into some kind of shape. About time.
