evening out my ride karma...

I've just booked a flight to visit some friends in January. The return itinerary has me scheduled to land at Logan at just after midnight.

The last inbound blue line train leaves the Airport T stop at 12:19. That is so not happening.

If I have to, I'll take a cab. But I've given a lot of people rides to and from the airport over the years, so I'm hoping maybe my ride-karma will help. If anyone would like to pick me up at Logan just after midnight on a Sunday night in January, I'd be most grateful....

Are you familiar with the new-ish Silver Li(n)e? It runs much later, although this may just have the effect of stranding you at South Station instead of the Airport, but I think even the one that gets in at 1:10a would allow you get the last Red Line northbound.

The T's online trip planner tells me I can catch the Silver Line outside terminal B at 12:21, arriving at South Station at 12:40, 6 minutes before the last northbound red line train. I have no idea where at South Station the Silver Line stops, but for me to get from pretty much anywhere on street outside South Station to the Red Line platform in six minutes with luggage is a dubious proposition. So if I land on time or early, and my luggage is quick out the chute, it just might be possible. But most likely I'd end up taking a cab from South Station. I think I'll take xiphmont up on his offer instead.
