WTF?

I use the noscript firefox extension, which blocks javascript from sites where I haven't told it to accept, and notifies me when it's doing so. I just opened one of my own LJ posts (with no comments or links, save a couple of <lj-user> tags), and noscript told me a javascript from "bidz.com" was trying to load on the page. WTF? Who is bidz.com and what is their javascript doing in my LJ?

More and more sites are letting other sites run javascript for them.

It's a disturbing advertising and metrics trend.

I love noscript.

Looks like ebay for jewelry? Make sure you're logged in, but ads shouldn't show up on a permanent account anyway...
