waiting for the verdict

I'm sitting in my Orthopedist's waiting room, after six weeks in the not-a-cast. I'm ... Let's just say that in the unlikely event that any of y'all were thinking of asking me to go out dancing with you tonight, I expect I'd have to decline. I continue to feel weird twinges in my ankle --- and if anything that's increased over the past six weeks.

I haven't had a chance to establish the kind of relationship with my orthopedist I like to have with doctors --- essentially one where they talk to me as if I were a colleague, not like a priest ministering to a supplicant. Hopefully I can get that to happen today.
