I don't think my views are significantly different than those of the editors of The Economist, which is hardly a stalwart of the left. I'd say I'm a political pragmatist and social libertarian; a Liberal more in the spirit of John Stuart Mill than that of Barney Frank. I think the fact that I land so deeply into the lower left quadrant here has more to do with how extreme and out of touch the right has become than with anything particularly extraordinary about my views.

I know little about your views, but from what I've seen of the American Right I think your interpretation is probably correct. Who defined the 'centre' cross-point?

I've just done the quiz, which probably means I'm now on somebody's hitlist somewhere. I'm left 6.29 and libertarian 3.94. Some of the questions were incredibly right-wing!
