I've had the same dentist for fifteen years, and recommend him highly (Leendert Van de Rydt at Gentle Dental in Cambridge). Unfortunately, my new insurance doesn't cover him.
So if you have a dentist you really like who's not too far afield (I'd prefer within a mile of a Red Line stop, and of course Davis would be ideal), could you please let me know about them?

Especially if you're on the Delta Dental PPO (not PPO Plus or PPO Value) plan, since that's my constraint.

Thanks in advance.

Dr. Van de Rydt was my dentist, too! Back when I lived within easy driving distance...

I owe you an email. :(

Hey there! I didn't know you were on LJ. (Nor did I notice when you friended me: presumably there's a way to make LJ notify me when that happens, but I've never found it, and don't look at my own profile very often.... (As in, I can't remember the last time I looked at it. Just out of curiosity, do you recall how long ago you friended me?) Anyway, it's good to hear from you, and I've now friended you back.)

Yeah, Dr. Van de Rydt is fantastic, and I'm sorry to have to leave his practice.

I friended you approximately two minutes before I left that comment. :) I probably wouldn't have made my presence known if you hadn't mentioned Dr. Van de Rydt--he's the source of all the gold in my mouth, which has fascinated dentists worldwide.

Oh, and just in case you're curious, I noticed your photo (and almost didn't recognize it!) in dpolicar's French Toast thread. Your profile gives just enough information without giving too much....

I love Dr Albert Duarte, whose office is just south of Porter Square on Mass Ave. I started going there when I was working at TERC, and have kept going back even though it's no longer convenient to anything :-)

We're all at MGH Dental Group (on iPhone, so just google it). They're a 5 minute walk from Charles/ MGH, and universally fantastic. Most thorough cleanings of my life. They spend at least 50% more time than anywhere else I've been. I usually see Dr. Lau, but Dr. Weiss just moved back to town (I worked with her husband at MIT, then he got a professorship at Princeton, and now back at MIT) so will probably see her again.

Apologies, they do not appear to be covered by Delta PPO, just Delta Premier.

I've been going to Dr. Eve Leeman over at the One Kendall Square complex (I think the place is "Kendall Dental Associates" or something like that), several minutes' walk from Kendall station, for years. They were covered by whatever flavor of Delta I had at MIT; I haven't actually confirmed yet that the flavor of Delta at my new job either is the same or specifically covers them... and this reminds me too, I'm overdue for a cleaning and checkup... :(

I really like my dentist, Seymour Andrus. His office is between Central and Harvard Square on Massachusetts Avenue.

I love love love Dr. Leeman at Kendall Square dental. I never got around to finding a dentist in IL, just would stop in and see her when I was visiting MA.

I thought I was the only one who did things like that... I would heartily recommend my dentist, except that he's rather inconvenient for MA residents.
