Sep. 1st, 2002 07:57 pmFound a couple of interesting things looking around here.
I was looking up people who share one of my interests, Jane Jacobs, and found this on bean1092's livejournal: a web survey claiming to classify your political worldview. Moderately interesting, but I don't really think trying to pin down this down in two dimensions for anyone who actually thinks about the world has much more going for it than the tired old "left-right" thing. Anyway, my score:
Economic Left/Right: -1.00
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -6.82
Take the political compass test.
This is just kind of amusing; found it in one of kareila's old entries:

I liked the plot of where the UK political leaders stood, but I didn't see my favorite, Gordon Brown, on there. Ah, well. I'm not quite the socialist that the Liberal Democrats are, and I've seen what damage has happened to the US by parties similar to the Conservatives (though I probably agree with half of what they say), but I don't like the Labour party either (though I agree with half of what they're saying). Politics is a many splendoured thing. I can't vote anyway, so I guess they don't care if I like them or not. :)
Just for your information and so you don't get completely confused, I'm an American living in the UK with my Bristish husband and son. We're currently residing at my in-laws' house near London while we look for somewhere to live in Cambridge.
