To quote the digg entry, "This site hosts an extremely high quality video on the main page that starts playing after mere seconds and plays straight through perfectly. This video distribution mechanism is amazing." It really is the cleanest video I've seen on the web. (I don't know whether they're randomizing or always showing the same video stream, but if you get the VW commercial with the guy racing to a wedding, and you recognize the music, would you please let me know what it is?)

the guy who composed that song is j. ralph - i remember b/c he was interviewed on NPR once. the song is called 'one million miles away'

No need to apologize — especially given that you gave me enough info to order a copy of J Ralph's CD. I glanced at your LJ and see you're about to start at Reed. I should point out that I'm not actually a Reedie: I hung out at Reed some when I was in high school, and really wanted to go there, but we couldn't afford it. So, in an interesting symmetry to your situation today, when I decided I needed to get far away from home for college I ended up at the University of Minnesota. I suspect you'll find Reed a far more rewarding way to be half a continent from home than I found the U of M.
