Egg Bagels

I've been doing a lot of introspection lately, and thinking deeply about a number of topics. Some of which will eventually find its way here. But tonight, a simpler matter: Does anyone know where I can buy an egg bagel around Boston anymore?

About thirteen years ago, my girlfriend at the time introduced me to bagels, and in particular to egg bagels. They never became a daily part of my diet, but every now and again I decide it would be a nice change to have bagels with cream cheese for breakfast. And for the past several years, whenever this mood has struck me, there have been no egg bagels among the fresh bagels on offer at the store.

What happened to them? Do egg bagels have cooties? Did the chickens go on strike? Did the Illuminati corner the market? Can I only obtain egg bagels in boston at 5:17 a.m. on the 13th of the month from a hunchback in a dark alley in Brookline? Inquiring minds want to know!

There's an H&H bagel outlet in Arlington, on the east side of Mass Ave up by Park Street. They have egg bagels, and they're very close to how they'd taste in NYC.

Bagels By US - which, I have found, are overpriced and usually overheated.

An egg bagel is easy. A good one? Tougher to find.

Finagle A Bagel has egg bagels, but for some reason most other places (such as Bruegger's) do not. I don't know why -- egg bagels are very yummy.
