danj17, who I haven't seen in a few months. I worked-out earlier, so I figured I'd shower first, and when I got out of the shower, being in a generally good mood and about to go out, if not exactly on a date, decided to wear something nice — in particular, a nice soft cotton Brooks Brothers dress shirt that I bought a few months before my stroke and have worn a grand total of two times since, most recently in the summer of 2006. I'd been thinking I should start treating it as casual wear and get some use out of it before I lose so much weight it would just hang on me.
I nearly waited too long. Even worn open, the collar is obviously too big for my neck. And left to their own devices, the cuffs come nearly halfway down my palms, covering the bases of my thumbs. I ended up rolling them up just to type this — folded back twice, the sleeves still fall halfway down my forearms.
This shirt used to fit. Nothing like physical proof of my weight loss to make my day.
Ah, and Dan's at the door.
