Life is trademarked

In a (locked) post around one o'clock this morning, I remarked that Life is Good. Around one o'clock this afternoon I happened upon a car in a parking lot with a sticker on the back expressing the same sentiment. Except it said

Life
is
Good
®

I refuse to allow that sort of horseshit to suck the good mood out of me. But can we please hire someone with half a fucking brain to run the US Patent and Trademark office?

apparently they've gotten a bit overzealous in attempting to protect that trademark, and have gone after someone big enough not to roll over and play dead. this should make you feel a bit better:
